The ever-excellent Marcy Murninghan provides an excellent, cheering post on what we might expect in 2012 at this link.
It’s easy to be bleak, as most commentators have been. In my earlier post on the year ahead, I felt I didn’t really delve much into the possible, looking instead at how just to keep things moving.
Marcy argues that:
“2012 bodes well for redefining the purpose of business within a larger public interest context, in which questions about purpose and meaning – affecting economic, political, and civic life – are raised and, more importantly, addressed.”
There are some useful signs highlighted in her post, a couple that might surprise you.
I’d like to think that overall she is right. Positive thinking matters.
