The non-profit problem

Here’s an interesting post from marketing expert Seth Godin.

His work is very relevant for folks working in corporate responsibility.

Read his blog and his books, they are brilliant.

If more mainstream marketing people were like him, we’d be in better shape all round.

The post is on decision making and innovation in non-profits, particularly around marketing.

Here’s a quote from it: “The marketing world has changed completely. So has the environment for philanthropic giving. So have the attitudes of a new generation of philanthropists. But if you look at the biggest charities in the country, you couldn’t tell. Because they’re ‘non’ first, change second”.
