Companies to watch in sustainability: 2013 and beyond

Ethical Corporation’s editorial advisory board has picked out a list of companies they think are ones to watch in 2013 and beyond.

I’m producing a presentation on the latest trends based on the views of our 20 strong editorial advisory board and also on around 80 in-depth research interviews recently conducted with CR heads and managers.

Here the list of companies to watch, in no particular order:

(American readers: This is NOT a ranking, they do not work)

Ford
McKesson
Ingersoll-Rand
Siemens
Aviva
Puma
Wheb Partners
Triodos
Honeywell
Avalon Rare Metals
Toyota
Pax Scientific
BASF
M&S
Unilever
Carillion
Reckitt Benckiser
BMW
Aerofarms
Esquel
Natura
Patagonia
Unilever
Kingfisher
O2
Bupa
Google
Mars
Wal-Mart
Interface
Coca-Cola Enterprises
Apple
Phillips
GE
Sainsbury’s
SAB Miller
Vodafone

What’s interesting here is that none of the big pharma companies were mentioned. I would pick out Novartis, GSK and Novo Nordisk to put on this list. Plus of course some others.

(Before you post a comment about disruptive SMEs and social enterprises, yes, their importance came up all the time. But that’s a topic for a separate post, when I’ve done more research on the best ones to highlight)
