What I mean is, this is the list of the companies shortlisted for Ethical Corporation’s 2013 awards.
I don’t mean to sound unexcited, just trying to not to be overly-PR heavy on their behalf.
I saw every entry, including some comically awful ones, and this is where we’ve ended up.
Some of the work being done is truly remarkable compared with just five years ago.
I can’t reveal who has won what, but I can tell you we’ll do our best to tell you why in the magazine and on this blog once the winners and commended companies are revealed in June.
Aside from the usual suspects, these were some of the entries I was impressed with: (in no particular order)
- Cotton Made in Africa
- Taylor Guitars
- Life Technologies & Kimberly-Clark
- Unilever & Vodafone
- SC Johnson
- PTT Global Chemical
- Novartis Arogya Parivar
There’s a few companies in the list above who are not the “usual suspects” in sustainable business, which is one of the reasons I picked them out.
Winners and commended companies revealed on June 24. More on them, after that…
